Terri Powell, M.D.

Dr. Powell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Center for Adolescent Health. Her research is focused on improving adolescent health outcomes through partnerships with faith-based and community organizations, and she has several publications addressing local community engagement and programs for vulnerable and at-risk youth. She is actively involved with programs that aim to prevent teen pregnancy, HIV, and substance abuse among adolescents of color, collaborating with institutions across multiple states.
