Celebrating Families! Online Group Leader Training

This Celebrating Families! (CF!) training is for professionals and potential volunteers who are interested in learning how to facilitate this 16-session evidence-based support group model for families affected by addiction for existing programs. CF! is proven to strengthen recovery, increase successful family reunification and improve healthy family living skills. Participants will also learn facts about alcohol, drug and brain chemistry, domestic violence risk and protective factors and how addiction affects the whole family.  The purpose of this training is to grow existing programs by training new staff &/or community partners who can work with your existing team to provide the program.

This 2 ½ day training provides the framework and introduces fundamentals unique to the program, Together, we’ll explore some of the complex challenges and subtle nuances sites may encounter when facilitating sessions with diverse families and with children of varying ages. Participants will learn more about the curriculum, review and discuss exercises from sessions, and present a few exercises to the group.

*Be alerted that the material and exercises you will participate in could be triggering if you have experience with familial addiction.

**Attending at least one Al-Anon session is recommended to better understand the family impact, especially if you have lived experience and have not addressed personal family issues.

Objectives of the training:

1)To discover the uniqueness and effectiveness of the Celebrating Families! program

2)To introduce, and become comfortable using, the Celebrating Families! curriculum

3)To experience program exercises to increase working knowledge of the program

NAADAC service hour CEUs will be provided for this training.

Cost of the training: $550 per person; does not include cost of curriculum.

Curriculum is needed throughout the entire training.

After registering for the training, You will receive a confirmation of your training registration and a receipt for payment. More information will be provided about preparations and training materials for a successful training a month before your training!
