Our affiliates and supporters are our eyes, ears and hearts in local communities, reaching out to give hope to children and families around the country, and across the globe. Our affiliates and supporters are a diverse group of professionals and volunteers committed to the goal of bringing healing to children and families with addiction. We are proud to partner with them in our quest to achieve our vision of leaving no child unsupported as they struggle to cope with parental addiction. NACoA is proud of its network of non-profit organizations, working together throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, New Zealand and Brazil.
<ol><li>Identification as a NACoA affiliate – Affiliates have permission to use the NACoA logo and the words “an affiliate of the National Association for Children of Addiction” and “ an affiliate of NACoA” to appear on letterhead, brochures, and other official written materials, the organization website and social media for the affiliate.</li><li>THE ADVOCATE – Affiliates receive NACoA’s monthly e-newsletter, sharing addiction community news, upcoming events, NACoA happenings, and action opportunities for policy advocacy. New affiliates are publicized.</li><li>Website links to affiliates – A section of NACoA’s website features affiliate organizations and links directly to affiliate organization websites. A link to an affiliate’s company website, from the NACoA website will be established within 30 days of commencement of membership as a NACoA affiliate.</li><li>Affiliates receive a 10% discount on curriculum purchases.</li><li>Consultation and training – Remote consultations are available on program services, and preferred rates are offered for training and conference workshop presentations by the some of the field’s most well-established experts: President/CEO; program staff; and NACoA Sr Clinical Advisor Jerry Moe, MA MAC; and other designated members of NACoA’s Board of Advisors and Board of Directors.</li><li>Award eligibility – Affiliates are eligible for NACoA’s Meritorious Service Award for outstanding programming/advocacy for COA Awareness Week, the week in which Valentine’s Day falls.</li></ol>
<p style="text-align: left;">A NACoA affiliate is a local, regional, state, or national organization whose work and mission is compatible with and strengthened by affiliation with NACoA’s work and mission to eliminate the adverse impact of alcohol and drug use on children and families. Affiliates of NACoA have applied for or been designated a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service.</p><h3 style="font-family: 'Poppins'; color: black; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 550;">Sound Management, Business, and Organizational Practices</h3><p>A NACoA affiliate is expected to engage in sound management, business, and organizational practices. These practices also include fiscal accountability, a planning process, and implementation of personnel policies consistent with sound professional standards and fair hiring practices.</p><h3 style="font-family: 'Poppins'; color: black; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 550;">Together We Do More…</h3><p>NACoA is a growing organization, committed to representing the voices of children in families affected by addiction. Our message gathers strength and multiplies as affiliates throughout the country reflect it in local and regional programs, public statements, and prevention and treatment activities and materials. When we work together, we reduce the pain and trauma of family alcoholism and other drug addiction in the lives of vulnerable developing children and increase their potential for resiliency and healthy, productive lives. Together, we strengthen the impact of both of our organizations.</p>
