The National Association for Children of Addiction (NACoA) seeks an energetic, dynamic Executive Director who can lead in an environment of profound social change and challenge to bring our cause to increased public and policy-maker attention.
As the national non-profit membership and affiliate organization working on behalf of children and families affected by parental alcohol and other drug use disorders, NACoA competes with non-profits who have more visible causes and — as a consequence — superior resources. Therefore, NACoA must continue to evolve to maintain relevance in the decades ahead and
transform its structure and operations as needed to raise its public profile and an awareness of its mission’s relevance in today’s world and the critical need for such an organization.
NACoA’s mission is to eliminate the adverse impact of alcohol and drug use on children and families by raising public awareness, serving as a voice for affected children, and providing leadership in public policy at the national, state, and community levels. NACoA serves as the preeminent national voice for this cause, and in so doing advocates for effective and accessible education, prevention and recovery support services. NACoA promotes and facilitates professional development and training on behalf of impacted children and families.
