Celebrating Families! National Online Group Leader Training

Does your site have new facilitators providing your Celebrating Families! program? Would you like to expand your group leader team because more families are becoming involved in your program? Did your program stop during the pandemic, and you are hoping to restart Celebrating Families! again soon? Then this training is for you!

This is a new training opportunity for organizations! Organizations/agencies can register individuals without needing to contract an entire training. Strengthen existing programs by sending individual facilitators to an online national group leader training.

Attendees will be able to:
1) Discover the uniqueness and effectiveness of the Celebrating Families! program
2) Familiarize – and get comfortable using – the Celebrating Families! curriculum
3) Experience program exercises to increase working knowledge of the program

Monday, May 13, 2024 10:00 am – 6:00 pm ET, includes a break 1:30 – 2:30 pm ET
Tuesday, May 14, 2024 10:00 am – 6:00 pm ET, includes a break 1:30 – 2:30 pm ET
Wednesday, May 15, 2024 10:00 am – 2:00 pm ET

Celebrating Families! (CF!) is an evidence-based, trauma-informed, skill building program of 16 sessions serving the whole family: children ages birth -18, their parents and caregivers. Each session begins with a family meal, followed by 90-minute age-appropriate instructional sessions, ends with a 30-minute family activity where families practice the skills they are learning. CF! was developed specifically for families dealing with or at high risk for multiple problems: substance use disorders (SUDs); multi-generational trauma; physical and mental health challenges; cognitive deficits due to trauma, genetics, or in-utereo exposure; and safety (child abuse/neglect and family violence). CF! addresses these needs through building healthy living skills and providing information. Effective adaptations are available for Spanish-speaking families or indigenous populations. Online program implementation strategies are also available.
