Topic: Healing Through Parenting: For You and Your Family 

Join NACoA and host Colleen Perry for this monthly meeting ideally suited for adult children who have been impacted by addiction looking for education and support through an online facilitated group. Each meeting will feature an expert presenting on important topics facing adults nurturing their own resilience, followed by an opportunity for attendees to speak freely. 

MAY SPEAKER: Director, The Addictions Institute San Francisco, Mary Kennedy, LCSW

Mary Kennedy is a licensed clinical social worker with deep experience providing therapy, education and support to those whose lives have been touched by substance use, addiction and trauma. Her practice is based in San Francisco.  She works with individuals and families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and consults with professionals and organizations across California and nationwide.

HOST: Colleen Perry

Colleen Perry is an advocate for those who grew up around alcohol dependence. After her mother died due to complications tied to her addiction,  Colleen decided she no longer could stay silent. She started sharing her story with the Instagram community through the handle impactedbyalcoholism. It is her goal to tell her story in a way that holds space for those who grew up in homes where alcohol and substance misuse and addiction was present, while striving to understand the factors that contribute to the disease in families and our communities.
