Every day, law enforcement professionals encounter children affected by substance use in their homes—during domestic calls, arrests, or welfare checks. Without trauma-informed training, these interactions can unintentionally cause further harm. NACoA provides essential information to empower these professionals, in a culturally sensitive way, so kids and teens can learn that their own healing is possible. This law-enforcement version of a NACoA favorite “Children Learn What They Live” is part NACoA’s Law Enforcement Curriculum.
