During the International COA Awareness Week 2025, NACoA is proud to announce the U.S. launch of the revolutionary i am me App, developed by mental health advocate Claire Libby BA, MSc, IIN Health Coach. This cutting-edge digital platform is designed to help teens and young adults navigate the complex landscape of mental health in today’s fast-paced and highly digital world.
Developed with input from young people and mental health experts, the i am me App provides tools, resources, and proactive strategies to empower adolescents to take charge of their well-being. Its launch comes at a critical time when rates of anxiety and depression among teens are on the rise.
“With its focus on prevention and self-empowerment, i am me is not just an App but a lifeline for teens struggling with the pressures of modern life,” said Claire Libby. “Our mission is to provide young people with accessible, engaging, and practical resources to support their mental health journeys, helping them feel seen, supported, and hopeful about their future.”
I am me app available for download in App Store and Google Play.
Why the I Am Me App Matters Now More Than Ever
Recent studies, including a pilot involving participants aged 18-25, have demonstrated the app’s efficacy in enhancing mental well-being. Teens who engaged with the app at least once a week and implemented its strategies showed meaningful improvements in well-being scores on the Warwick and Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale.

Testimonies from early users underscores its impact:
- Erin, age 17: “Having access to i am me would have made such a difference in my life. It provides a sense of guidance and clarity that can truly boost self-confidence and alleviate stress.”
- Alex, age 19: “i am me is a game-changer. It offers the support system I wish I had during the toughest moments of my adolescence.”
Industry Experts and Leaders Endorse I Am Me
NACoA board members and leading behavioral health professionals recognize the i am me App as a groundbreaking tool for supporting teens’ mental well-being.
- Ruth Ann Rigby, NACoA Board Member and Chief Development Officer for Capstone Wellness, shared her enthusiasm for the launch:
“As someone who has worked with teens and young adults in the behavioral health field for nearly 30 years, I have never seen a time when young people have faced more challenges than they do today. The pressures of social media, academic demands, and family struggles can take a toll on their mental health. That is why I am so impressed with the U.S. launch of the i am me App. This innovative and accessible resource provides teens with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and feel empowered in their mental health journey. We are incredibly grateful to the generous donors who have made it possible for teens across the country to access this App free of charge. Every young person deserves support, and i am me is a game-changer in making that a reality.”
- Jenni Scott, LCSW, Clinical Director at the National Center for Families and Children, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, emphasized the app’s role in prevention and resilience-building:
“I am me” is a fantastic new resource for young people looking to strengthen their well-being and build resilience. With a user-friendly design, the app offers space for journaling, mood and stress tracking, and personalized strategies to help young users navigate life’s challenges. My favorite part is the ‘Wall of Inspiration,’ where users can save personally motivating positive messages to be accessed in times of need. By empowering and educating, this app changes the game, helps break down stigma, and improves access to preventative services.”
- Ashley Addiction Treatment Co-CEO Dr. Greg Hobelmann emphasizes the app’s role in wellbeing management:
“The i am me App is an excellent resource for young people navigating the complexities of mental health and substance use challenges. At Ashley Addiction Treatment, we recognize the critical need for accessible, proactive tools that empower teens to take control of their well-being. By providing meaningful support, this app has the potential to change lives and help prevent issues before they escalate. Through initiatives like The Clubhouse by Ashley, we are committed to creating safe, engaging spaces where teens can build connections, develop healthy coping skills, and find the support they need. We are proud to support NACoA in bringing this innovative solution to teens across the country.”
- Entrepreneur and mental health advocate Greg Angelides, Co-Founder of Williamsburg House, NY highlighted the importance of accessible support:
“This i am me App is a great support for young adults who are struggling with mental health issues or substance use disorder in their families. This country needs more products and content like this, where young people get needed support and tools without judgment.”
A Partner for Prevention and Beyond
In collaboration with NACoA, the i am me App integrates features that guide young users to resources such as articles, actionable tips, and connections to trusted mental health organizations. Its “More Support” section provides links to counseling services and registered mental health charities for those needing additional help. The app emphasizes prevention while also complementing professional support, including therapy or medication, for those who need it.
“Through this partnership, we aim to amplify the message that help is always available,” said NACoA CEO Denise Bertin-Epp. “Claire Libby’s vision aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting young people in overcoming challenges related to substance use challenges, mental health issues, and the impact of substance use disorders on families.”
The I am me App is now available for download across major platforms. Join NACoA and Claire Libby in celebrating the beginning of a new era of support for America’s youth.
