The Seven Cs, created by Jerry Moe, MA, is the most essential resource to provide to children and teens impacted by parental addiction. It emphasizes areas that are not their responsibility , and explaining how they can help themselves despite the challenges and pain resulting from the affect of a loved one struggling with the disease of addiction. Learn more about the importance of this guidance in NACoA’s blog Understanding the Seven Cs.
The United Nations publishes the World Drug Report, outlining the growing concerns of substance use around the globe. Included in this report: “Youth populations are the most vulnerable to using drugs and are also more severely affected by substance use disorder in several regions.” To help support children around the world who are impacted by the disease of addiction, we have created the Seven Cs in many languages so that any child around the world can benefit from this essential resource.
